Today we’re going to talk about the changes of state, es decir, cuando se pasa de líquido a sólido o a gaseoso, y viceversa.

But first, let's watch a video to review what we have seen so far and to explain today's topic.

On the video, we have seen that:

- Un sólido, al calentarse, se derrite (melting) y pasa a estar en estado líquido.

- Un líquido, al calentarse, se evapora (evaporation) y se convierte en gas.

- Un gas, al enfriarse, se condensa (condensation) y pasa a ser líquido.

- Un líquido, al enfriarse más, se congela (solidification) y se convierte en sólido.

Look at the chart:

1. When a solid is heated, it changes into liquid (melting).

2. When a liquid is heated, it changes into a gas (evaporation).

3. When a gas cools, it changes into a liquid (condensation).

4. When a liquid cools, it changes into a solid (solidification).
