SCIENCE. June 9th

Good morning!!

Today we finish the Unit talking about pure substances (sustancias puras) and mixtures (mezclas).

A pure substance is that that is made up of a single type of matter, es decir, que está formada por solo esa materia, como el agua, el azúcar, la sal, el oro o el oxígeno.

A mixture is two or more things put together, es decir, cosas juntas que forman otra, por ejemplo una ensalada (con lechuga, tomate, aceitunas...), un bocadillo (puede llevar pan, queso, tomate, jamón...), el aire (es una mezcla de gases) o el agua del mar (tiene agua, sal y gases).

 

Now, in your notebook, copy those two definitions (what is a pure substance and what is a mixture) and do activities 2, 3 and 4 from page 78 and activity 7 from page 79 of your Natural Science book.

Finally, you're going to listen to Rachel talking about what she wants to do this summer. What do you want to do this summer? Send a video, audio or a picture of your notebook with your answers.
