Today we start a new unit in Natural Science. Vamos a hablar de la materia, de las cosas que tenemos alrededor y ocupan espacio, como la mesa, la cama, el ordenador, el agua o el aire.

Unit 5. Matter

- Matter.

We start by watching the video on page 68 (icono rojo arriba) and we do exercise 3 on page 69 (escríbelo en el cuaderno y manda foto o escríbelo en el Aula Virtual).

Then, go to page 70, read it and copy the following sentence in your notebook: Matter is everything that takes up space, like trees or a lamp. Light, sound or our thoughts and feelings do not take up space, so they are not matter. (Consideramos materia todo aquello que ocupa un espacio, como los árboles o una lámpara. La luz, el sonido o nuestros pensamientos y emociones no son materia porque no ocupan un espacio).
